ABOUT THE BRAND
Polar Skate Co. is one of the best independent skateboard brands in the world. It was founded in 2011 by Pontus Alv - a legendary Swedish skater from Malmö, who is not only the founder, but also a creative director, illustrator, cameraman, editor, skater and an avid DIY spot builder. Other people closely associated with Polar are Jacob Ovgren and Stefan Naranćić, graphic designers responsible for most of the patterns we see on boards and clothes. The collections are inspired by art, culture and the skateboarding scene, many graphics are designed by the team riders themselves. Polar Skate Co. slogan to "inspire others to inspire themselves". Polar was voted "European Brand of The Year" at the Euro Skate Awards in 2013-2015 and in 2019.
