Vans Skate Wayvee
Stand out from the crowd and push your boundaries.
Vans Skateboarding is proud to present the Wayvee. The Wayvee Athletic Shoe was designed from the ground up with female skaters who know how to push the boundaries of style and skating. They feature a completely new upper construction that includes reinforced overlays with translucent mesh for maximum breathability and flexibility.
The shoes are equipped with reinforced DURACAP™ toecaps for durability, an internal LuxLiner™ layer that ensures a perfect fit throughout the life of the shoe, and our revolutionary WAFFLECUP™ sole, which guarantees the support typical of a cupsole sole and the board feel of vulcanized soles. The Athletic Wayvee model is a universal shoe that offers incredible flexibility and durability, as well as maximum cushioning.
• ALL-NEW UPPERS - Suede, leather and translucent mesh uppers provide durability and breathability, while an improved ghillie lacing system and reinforced eyelets provide additional protection. • INCREASED DURABILITY - DURACAP™ reinforced toecaps provide extra durability where skaters need it most, while internal construction provides additional reinforcement. • TAILORED FIT - LuxLiner™ interior ensures even fit throughout the life of the shoe. • WAFFLECUP CONSTRUCTION - Our most visually expressive WAFFLECUP™ outsole provides excellent boardfeel, maximum support and durability. • POPCUSH CUSHIONING - the best shock absorption and protection. POPCUSH™ energy return insoles help protect your feet while reducing leg fatigue during extended boarding sessions.
VANS was founded in 1966 by brothers Paul and Jim Van Doren and Gordon Lee and Serge Delia as The Van Doren Rubber Company in Anaheim, California. The first shoes to be created were Vans #44, now known as Authentic. In 1976, Vans #95, now known as Era, was created, designed by Tony Alva and Stacey Peralta. In the same year, the Vans "Off the Wall" logo appears. In 1977, Vans #36, Old Skool, and #98, Slip-On, were released. A year later, #38 - Sk8-Hi is created. In 1988, Vans signed by Steve Caballero were presented - the legendary Half Caby. In 2001, Vans helped produce "Dogtown and Z-Boys," a film that gave Stacy Peralta a look at the early days of skateboarding and the personalities that shaped the sport. The film receives the audience award and the directing award at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2010, Vans opens House of Vans Brooklyn, a retail and event space in New York, and in 2014 opens House of Vans in London. In May 2015, Vans makes skateboarding history with the release of the highly anticipated PROPELLER: A Vans Skateboarding Video, the first skateboarding video from Vans. This unique event catapulted Team Vans Pro Skate to international prominence and further highlighted the importance of the Vans brand to the history of skateboarding. PROPELLER becomes the fastest-selling skateboarding video on iTunes.
