  • Lizzie is the only woman who can boast a signature model of skateboarding shoes. Importantly, these are not shoes designed only for skateboarders.

DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS

Lizzie is the only woman who can boast of a model of skateboarding shoes signed by her name. Importantly, these are not shoes designed only for skaters. Lizzie wanted to create something different for a wide group of skateboarding fans whose needs were not met. So, when we designed Lizzie's first signature shoes, we took into account her words and what drives her on her path to success. The result is a model that perfectly reflects our inclusive approach.

Lizzie wanted to create shoes that fully reflected her personality - from a slimmer design that fits the shape of her foot to a thinner outsole that provides better board feel and greater flexibility. The cushioning in typical skate shoes made Lizzie feel like she was floating off the board, so we slimmed down the sockliner to eliminate that feeling. The Lizzie model also has a new vulcanized construction with a lower "foxing tape" on the side walls, visible edges of the outsole and flexible grooves, thanks to which they immediately seem stable and "spread out". In addition, their universal design includes perfect EcoCush™ cushioning, which allows many skaters to have a better feel for the board. The design is complemented by a new 3D embossed DURACAP™ toe cap, and the side strap is even more durable in high-wear areas. A completely new tread with a micro-waffle structure and Sick-Stick™ rubber provide optimal grip.

Lizzie is committed to protecting our planet and her signature shoes feature the Vans VR3 Checkerboard Globe logo, confirming that their core components are made to strict footwear material guidelines and are designed to reduce the carbon footprint compared to canvas shoes Vans.

COMPLETELY REDESIGNED UPPER - Chrome-free suede provides more sustainable durability, while high organic textile materials are used on the upper, tongue and lining. Plus, reverse heel loops with hidden Lizzie logo details help you slip into your shoes.
UNPARALLELED DURABILITY - A subtle 3D DURACAP™ side stripe under the lining and thicker DURACAP™ toecaps stand out from under the vamp and provide additional durability.
IMPROVED CUSHIONING - At Lizzie's request, a completely new, slimmed-down sockliner has been added with our new EcoCush™ foam, which is 70% bio-based polyurethane and offers comparable performance to PopCush™ while skateboarding.
FIT WITH FOOT LOCK - the new design, reflecting Lizzie's vision, was created with maximum functionality in mind. Thanks to the universal fit, many skaters appreciate better board feel and greater control.
LEGENDARY GRIP - Brand new bottom plate with flex grooves, zoned waffle studs for durability and support, and SickStick™ rubber combined with Lizzie's favorite micro-waffle pattern for traction.
IMPROVED OUTSOLE AND "FOXING TAPE" DESIGN - one-piece "foxing tape" provides flexibility while guaranteeing durability and traction thanks to the SickStick™ mixture with a high content of natural rubber. What catches the eye is the slightly rounded rear edge of the outsole, which immediately makes them seem to "spread out".
VR3 CERTIFICATE - The Lizzie model is made partly of organic cotton, rubber and foam based on bio-based products, and also uses suede on the entire surface of the shoe obtained from tanneries that have obtained the gold or silver certificate of the Leather Working Group (LWG) in terms of environmental friendliness.

ABOUT THE BRAND

VANS was founded in 1966 by brothers Paul and Jim Van Doren and Gordon Lee and Serge Delia as The Van Doren Rubber Company in Anaheim, California. The first shoes to be created were Vans #44, now known as Authentic. In 1976, Vans #95, now known as Era, was created, designed by Tony Alva and Stacey Peralta. In the same year, the Vans "Off the Wall" logo appears. In 1977, Vans #36, Old Skool, and #98, Slip-On, were released. A year later, #38 - Sk8-Hi is created. In 1988, Vans signed by Steve Caballero were presented - the legendary Half Caby. In 2001, Vans helped produce "Dogtown and Z-Boys," a film that gave Stacy Peralta a look at the early days of skateboarding and the personalities that shaped the sport. The film receives the audience award and the directing award at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2010, Vans opens House of Vans Brooklyn, a retail and event space in New York, and in 2014 opens House of Vans in London. In May 2015, Vans makes skateboarding history with the release of the highly anticipated PROPELLER: A Vans Skateboarding Video, the first skateboarding video from Vans. This unique event catapulted Team Vans Pro Skate to international prominence and further highlighted the importance of the Vans brand to the history of skateboarding. PROPELLER becomes the fastest-selling skateboarding video on iTunes.
