Real Skateboards is a San Francisco-based company from the Deluxe Distribution stable. It was founded in 1991 by two former Powell riders - Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud. Their project was backed by Thrasher founder Fausto Vitello. The Real boards are widely regarded as some of the best quality boards on the market. A number of Real videos have been released to date, with highlights including The Real Video (1993), Kicked out of Everywhere (1999), Real to Reel (2001) and Since Day One (2011).
